UAC Restrictions

XL Delete will attempt to run with the highest user privileges available when the Windows Vista/7 UAC feature is enabled.  XL Delete needs to run in elevated privileges in order to have complete access to your hard drive.  There may be instances where you will need to explicitly run XL Delete in Administrative mode in order to remove certain files.

Restrictions When UAC is Enabled:

1.Drag and drop support will not work unless Windows Explorer is running with elevated privileges.  You can use the built-in File Explorer to bypass this limitation.

2.User may need to explicitly run XL Delete in administrative mode if the current user privileges are not high enough to remove protected files.  For example you will not be able to delete files from the root C:\ drive if you do not have enough permissions to do so with the user account that you are logged on with.
