August 2005 Status Report
Company Status:
• We are excited to announce two new additions to our future .NET component products. The -XL- Development utilities library and the essentials library. The utilities library will feature several UI components such as the gradiant progress bars (used in XL Delete), panel collection (used in the settings dialog of the next version of XL Delete), extended label control, drive list, folder list, and file list controls. The essentials library will feature several usefull classes such as an easy to use encryption class, a class to create file archives, a class that gives easy access to the winmm.dll to allow playback of mp3 and other popular audio formats from .NET applications, and a simple compression library. These products are scheduled for the first quarter of 2006.Development Progress:
• My Screen 1.1 had to be delayed due to issues found with the user interface. The new version is expected to be released this month.• XL File Server is currently in private beta testing. A public beta is expected later this month and version 1.0 is scheduled to be released in mid September. We will be releasing the XL File Server product information page this week where you will be able to see some development screenshots and get the latest information on the program.
• XL Delete 1.2 is currently in heavy development and is scheduled to be released late-August to mid-September. Version 1.2 adds a redesigned settings screen that allows easier customization of XL Delete settings and quicker access for creating custom wipes. This version will also have built in features to wipe your cookies, temporary Internet files, and temporary system files. Other new features will be announced as version 1.2 nears completion.
