June 2005 Update 6.3.2005:

We have decided to provide monthly reports on the status of -XL- Development and the current development progress. We hope that these reports will inform our customers of where we stand and help to keep us on track.
June 2005 Status Report

Company Status:

• -XL- Development continues to grow in the shareware scene. Our flagship product, XL Delete, can now be found on most major software sites including www.softpedia.com, www.snapfiles.com, and www.download.com.

• We will be moving to a new location on June 24. The move will cause a slight delay for responding to emails and help desk support requests for the day.

• You will now be able to contact us via Fax by the end of this month. Depends on how long the move takes.

• We have received a lot of positive feedback on our new freeware application, My Screen, and are now considering other possible projects to release as freeware. It will either be another application or a .NET component. Please email us and let us know which one you would like better.

Development Progress:

• XL Delete 1.1 is scheduled to be released this month. This version adds a powerful customization feature to the deletion engine. You can now define your own wipe methods through a simple interface, or use the advanced editor to build wipe methods that are as powerful as the ones that are built in. Other changes include better detection for files that are in use, better handling and deleting of folders, an "auto-buffer" feature that changes the overwrite buffer dynamically resulting in quicker wipes, many code optomizations to make the program run faster, better support for XP themes, bug fixes and more. We will release more detailed information once a release date is finalized.

• XL File Server is now undergoing internal testing. A public beta is expected to be ready by late July.
